The Carolina Hurricanes are shooting a TV commercial for the upcoming season this Tuesday (the 23rd) and need your help.

If you would like to be an extra in a Carolina Hurricanes commercial along with three of the Hurricanes Players- you need to be at the RBC Center box office tomorrow, Tuesday, the 23rd between 2:30-3:00PM and be prepared to stay till 6:00PM.

Rumor coming out of TSN. It'll be interesting to see if that goes down or not, although I think he'll end up just like Gilmour and Housley before him when they tried to go to Toronto for the cup. Carolina could get a nice deal out of that, although they'll never get the intangibles the Franchise brings to the table.

Let me assure you that I have no stock in SIRIUS. I just thought I would pass something on that might be of interest.

I finally decided to get one last week. When I went to Best Buy, they had a display saying that, if you bought any SIRIUS receiver, you would also get an NHL All Star jersey (this years style).

You have to mail away for it, but I was pleased as punch to be getting an $80 jersey for something I was going to buy anyway. As has been mentioned before, they have the...

Not a bad interview.

Word is that Winnapeg is talking to a "southern" NHL team about relocating to Winnipeg.

Discussions about the Hurricanes dominated the talk as the Canes have bolted before, they are losing money and that other "southern" teams were very happy where they are now.

So, what are everyone's thoughts about the firing of Paul Maurice and the hiring of Coach Peter Laviolette? I personally am very excited. Although I really liked Maurice, I think his coaching style is not one that wins in today's NHL. I welcome the idea of having a very competitive team, but I'm also sad to see Maurice go. He's a great person and you always hate to see these things happen to good people.

In the annual December cable screw-up, Fox Sports did not authorize Greensboro to see the Hurricanes-Edmonton game. Instead, we get The Worst Damn Sports Show Period.

To add injury to insult, since we are supposed to be getting the game in this market, the game was blacked out on Center Ice.

The woman at Time Warner was nice. She actually took a long time to look into the situation and then knocked $20 off my bill since I wasn't getting the game through either of the means that...
