30 story residential tower planned for downtown GSO?

I came across this website that mentions The Carroll Companies. and it shows a rendering of what appears to be the renovation of the old Wachovia Building and next to it, a 30 story tower that looks like the renovated old Wachovia Building. The project is called "Park Central Plaza" and here is the link. The website appears to be under construction so the details of this project has not hit the local press yet!

Lots of coverage on Billy Yow's T-shirts (which was pretty dumb on the die hard Generals fan part)

but the real story can be found on the streets of Guilford County, and the paper is not covering it. There is trouble a brewing, and the paper has their blinders on. There are a lot more "Get Greer outa Here" stickers on cars than Youw T-shirts.

Triad Sports Forums Reborn

Many posters here may remember my Triad Sports Forums from about a year or so ago. I have redesigned and brought the board back.

The forums have a different messageboard system, as I found Ezboards downtime and slowness a problem.

The new forums contain both local NC Sports and National Sports from Hockey to NASCAR to Baseball to ACC/NCAA to NFL and more.

I hope that everyone will drop by and give Triad Sports...

All four games were terrific. Even UVA hung with Duke most of the way. State makes a terrific rally and, best of all, the Tarholes get beat at the buzzer.

Can't wait for semifinal Saturday. The hype going in was that this could be the best tournament ever, and it's living up to it's billing so far.

What do you guys think about all the hoopla about Southern Guilford and Andrews mascots? I graduated from Southern in 2001, and I don't think they should change the name Indians. It's not like the Cleveland Indians logo is what they use out there, it's always been a respectable looking Indian chief. I think it's kinda sad that the school board will put hundreds of thousands of dollars into changing these things and all the uniforms, scoreboards, etc when there's so many other things that need...
