Greensboro won that first game at Clinton 4-3. (I believe that was in OT.)
They lost the next night in the New York Rovers return to hockey at Commack, LI 4-1. (The Rovers became the LI Ducks a few years later.Another NY Rovers popped up for the 1964-65 season at Madison Square Garden)
They were shutout 4-0 at New Haven on Oct 28;
Lost at Clinton Nov 1 (3-2).
Lost 6-4 at Washington on Nov 2 or 3.
Lost at Charlotte 6-4 on Sat Nov 7.
Finally at home they beat Washington 4-1 on Wed November 11, 1959

Generals Spoil Comets Opener in Overtime
Langrelle Gets Goal at 2:42

Clinton - The Greensboro Generals, newest entry in the Eastern Hockey League, displayed a brand of hockey as snappy as their gold, green and white uniforms here last night to edge the Clinton Comets, 4-3 in overtime before a capacity crowd. Laurie Langrell, 20-year-old wheat farmer in off-season, rapped in the winning goal at 2:42 of the overtime period to give the Generals their first taste of victory in the EHL. Langrell is one of the very few players to wear contact lenses.

CHUCK HOLDAWAY, starting left winger for the Generals was the individual star in the opening game, as he gave his team a 2-0 lead after the opening period, and added two assists to his scoring column. The Comets rallied for two markers in the second with Fern Bernaquez and Dick Wray bringing them back into contention. Clinton took the lead for the first time in the game at 7:03 of the final stanza when Leon Bouchard sent a screamer from the blue line to the Greensboro nets. Wingman Don Carter, assisted by Reg Primeau and Holdaway cleared Defelice for the tying Greensboro goal at 8:21 of the final stanza sending the game into overtime.

THE PERFORMANCE of 6-1. l85-pound Greensboro goalie Don Campbell was outstanding as he was busy knocking out 49 shots. Norm Defelice, Clinton goalie, saved 19 with many spectacular shots turned away. The first goal came easily for Greensboro after 45 seconds of the opening stanza. Right defenseman Norrn Ryder took a rebound, relaying to Don Carter, right wing who passed off to Chuck Holdaway coming in on the left side of the Clinton cage with only a two-footer left.

A minor skirmish was broken up seconds after the opening whistle and at 6:09 Reg Primeau, Generals starting center, and Norm Defelice, Clinton goalie, exchanged blows. Each drew five minutes for fighting. Jerry Stringle, Comets' center, served penalties for both goalie Defelice and Serge Boudreault who retired for first aid after mixing with Ryder. The Generals made it a 2-0 game at 19:27 of the opening stanza with Holdaway blinking the red light for his second goal of .the game on a pass from Ryder and Primeau.

At 2:50 of the second Bud Syverson, defenseman, was called for cross-checking and the Comets took advantage of the manpower shortage to rap in their first goal in a scramble around the cage at 3:10. Fern Bernaquez uncovered the puck for the Comets. Dick Wray and Angie Defelice were given assists. Syverson and Comets' captain Ed Calhoun suared off at 18:50 and both were sent off for high sticking. Twenty seven seconds later Wray tied up the game on a neat bit of passwork from Willie Pawchuk and Leon Bouchard. Campbell stopped 21 shots for the period to 10 for Defelice.
